Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Officer shot multiple times during traffic stop





On Sunday, January 23, 2011 at approximately 9:00a.m. Officer David Moore of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department initiated a traffic stop in the 3400 block of North Temple. It was during this traffic stop that Officer Moore was shot 4 times, twice in the head, once in the hip and once in his bullet-proof vest.

Officer Moore is in the ICU at a local hospital in a coma, fighting for his life. They currently have a person of interest in custody. The person of interest is being held currently on a robbery and being a felon in possession of a gun. Thomas Hardy 60 years old, is the person in question. Hardy is being charged with an armed robbery that occurred less than an hour after Officer Moore was shot. Police recovered a gun and numerous other pieces of evidence during a search warrant execution at Hardy's residence. A stolen Toyota Camry that Hardy was believed to be operating, was located in a downtown parking garage.

4 Detroit Police Officers shot inside police station





On Sunday, January 23, 2011 at approximately 4:30p.m. A male walked into the 6th precinct police station in Detroit and opened fire on several Officers, including the precinct Commander. Officers returned fire and killed the suspect. All of the officers are expected to recover from their gunshot wounds. Keep the officers in your prayer for a speedy recovery. It is a damn shame that society is so messed up now days that police officers aren't even safe inside the police station. Truly unbelievable!!

Remembering Black Sunday in New York 6 years later




January 23, 2005 was a very tragic day in New York. At a working apartment building fire on E. 178th Street, two of FDNY Bravest jumped to their death from a 4th floor window, as they tried to escape the raging fire, 4 other bravest were badly injured. Later that same tragic day, another FDNY Bravest  was killed while searching the basement at a working fire in a residential dwelling in Brooklyn.

3-Alarm fire 77 Lincoln Park in Newark, New Jersey

On January 9, 2011 Newark, New Jersey firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire at 77 Lincoln Park in Newark. The fire quickly escalated to 3-alarms. This awesome video, which is broken into 11 videos was taken by "allhandsgoingtowork" Great job!!
