Sadly another St. Petersburg Florida police officer was shot and killed in the line of duty on Tuesday, February 21, 2011, as he and his partner investigated a prowler call. Veteran Police Officer David Crawford was shot multiple times by a 16-year-old male, who he was conducting a field contact with. Officer Crawford is the third St. Petersburg police officer to be killed in the line of duty in the past month.
